Samuel Ung is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in finance, investment management, and strategic leadership, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. Since 2019, he has served as the Chairperson of the ASEAN Australia Association, where he has been key in promoting economic, social, and cultural ties between ASEAN nations and Australia. Additionally, he is a Director and ESG Committee Member at RC Global, guiding sustainable investment practices tailored to Australian investors.
In 2023, Samuel became the Head of Asia at Hall Chadwick, leading mergers and acquisitions across Asia and managing complex business transactions. His career also includes significant roles in impact investing, notably as a Risk and Compliance Manager & Investment Analyst at Brightlight Group and earlier as an Investment Analyst at Christian Super.
Sam also leads the Research and Development Tax division at Hall Chadwick, bringing over a decade of experience in assisting a wide range of clients, from multinationals to startups, in securing R&D grants. He is also an active member of the ATO/AusIndustry’s rotating R&D Tax Incentive Roundtable.
Sam is a qualified solicitor and received his Bachelor degree from the University of Melbourne.
